The solid particles settled from the red slurry are the most hazardous in terms of wind erosion in the grass covered meadows. The water evaporating from the surface of the blade of grass having large specific surface results rapid drying of the the red mud. Thus the red mud is delivered by wind. In case of heavy wind large red mud dust cloud is to be expected. This process can be prevented by tillage.
