Dacryomycetales rend tagjai kocsonyaszerű, szaprotróf táplálkozású bazídiumos gombák. Legtöbbször faanyagon élnek. Ivartalanul konídiumokkal is terjednek. A termőtestük változatos. Magyarországon gyakori az ágas termőtestű, árszerű enyveskorallgomba (Calocera cornea).
