The efficacy of the complex remediation technology of combined chemical and phytostabilisation can be investigated in filed lysimeter experiments. With this method, the changes in metal mobility can be followed not only in the soil (or waste) itself, but also in the drainage water (collecting infiltrating water) and in plants grown on the stabilized soil.
